Km Club | Elementary
School Program
This aik program enables kids, Kindergarten – Grade 7, to run
with an organized group. The program was designed to encourage kids to be
active and healthy while giving them a sense of purpose through giving. Each
week the kids meet for an organized run of 1-3km on a marked route within the
schoolyard. The children are encouraged to bring a small donation each week to
donate to Children’s Hospital.
The KM Club is a year round (Sept-June) parent volunteer led program. In the
past we have put together a scrapbook of “Why I run for you” pictures, poems,
notes and artwork for the Oncology/Hematology Department at Vancouver Children’s
Hospital. The children love to be part of a healthy giving program and take
pride in their milestones and achievements.
